Comme Des Garcons Autumn/Winter 2010

'Inside Decoration' was Rei Kawakubo's description for her Autumn/Winter Collection. Her enhancement of the parts of the body that women usually try to conceal with clothing, was I thought quite charming, and I thought certain garments were really wearable.

The unconventional silhouette and contrast in volume appeared almost sinuous yet in Kawakubo's usual shiftless, obscure way. The placement of padding and shape across the body appears completely natural and as a feature that we should all embrace! For me, really beautiful.
